HPI Stage-D

Hey all,

Thought I'd share some pics of my Stage-D. Base car was an HPI RS4-3 18SS with the following bolt-on's:

*HPI pull starter (needed with Stage-D pipe)
*Stage-D conversion
*Stage-D rear exiting pipe
*Stage-D drift box
*Stage-D locked rear axle
*HPI Nitro Racing Clutch
*HPI carbon shock towers
*HPI threaded shock set (front only so far - on order)
*HPI air filter
*Nissan Silvia body
*HPI fibre brake disc
*Hitec digital high torque steering servo (5625MG)
*Bluebird high speed throttle servo
*HPI body tuner kit - type A (intercooler, muffler and mirrors)
*Venom1600maH hump pack
*Charge jack (ex Savage-X)

Reverse sticker is factory spec on the Silvia drift body. Wish I had something to do with it......but sadly not:)

man... thats sweet...very clean
is it just painted orange? those are some sweet decals...

how do you find the d-box?

does this come rtr?

deffinatly sweet man... got any video?

Hey Bazzoka, thanks for the words.

Firstly, its painted with Tamiya cans. About 7-8 coats of fluro orange backed by one coat of british racing green to darken up the orange. Factory decals.

D-Box is brilliant for novices. As long as you are using drift tyres (granted my drifts are aided by the mid-engined chassis and locked rear difff), just punching the throttle and the d-box holds a drift as long as you want - or until you want to counter steer yourself and change the angle of the drift. So, so, so easy.

RTR? Not in my spec. Comes in the following http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/10071/ spec which has a single speed, poor pipe, less powerful engine, different brakes, non-threaded shocks, no carbon chassis parts - but all in all - would probably perform very similarly.
