here is a pic of my hyper 21 head....


i don't have a "before" pic, but it was black and all scruffed up, now its smooth and shiney.

eek! scuffed up is good! scuffed up gives more areaof contact from heatsink to air. less contact air means less efficent transfer of heat... not to mention that a layer of a subtance that probably (not sure about this) has worse thermal conductivity that the metal has been added....


you may find it makes no difference... but it may make a lot of difference...

i would of thought the paint would of absorbed the heat....


also the extra layer of paint, will make it marginally bigger, basically giving the cooling head a few more mm's extra cooling area.


eitherway, its not going to make ure engine run from say 200degF to 250degF.


oh and yes i tried it today, and no noticable difference in temps.
