There is some indoor flying done around the Donvale/Doncaster area for RC Heli's.

PM me if you want the link as the organizer isn't a site sponsor.
Tim , no worries re putting that link in your post , it'll most likely help out a few more flyers......
Here is the link.

Aiden is the contact for the heli indoor flying and an all round top fella too.

Sorry I did kinda read the post a little wrong too.

There are many flying places around Melbourne. Most of them are plane fliers mainly with some heli although the link Glenn put up is for the MRCHA heli only fliers. They fly on Sat/Sun from 9:15am-6pm and have some excellent fliers and tutor's there including blokes who fly in both F3C and 3D Masters at the top level world wide.

They fly down near Frankston (Bangholme) next to the Dragboat center.

Check this out it; will give you most of the Melbourne clubs and their details.

Thanks Guys

Bugger missed last weekend. I need some one to look at my Heli's to set them up as I know nothing about them
What heli's are they?
They are all Walkera's

1#b, 22E and a 4#3

Lawrie I mean this in the nicest possible way and not too offend you but if you turn up at the field with those particular heli's you may not get any help at all. They are very very cheap and nasty and rarely do people ever get them to actually fly.

Dunno if you have the spare coin but a blade400 would be about 20x better starter rtf out the box for $450-$500 (from memory) second hand maybe $350.
Ahhh the old, You have crap so we wont help.... Hahahaha

I have seen this too many times to mention...

People have to start somewhere and if these Heli's are cheap then people will buy them.

From what I have read and seen there are quite a few of these everywhere.

Oh well another club that will not have me as a member..

I will persist...

I am not saying I wont help you would need to make contact with the club. I live 400km's from the Melbourne club. Distance thing more than the type of heli you have.

Walkera's heli's are what quite oten turns people off flying all together.

I know for sure if you persist with these you may end up spending considerably more than a blade400 and may never get it more than 2 foot off the ground.

Try the clubs listed they will at least be able to point you in the right dirrection and help you have it setup.
Hi Tim

I was not saying that you would not help, It is just I am sick and tired of hearing the same things all the time.
I have been in this hobby for about 25 years and it still amazes me that some clubs have the atitude that if you have bought something either off the internet or from someone else that is not up to "normal" standards they do not want to know you.
It is a problem that has been around for years and even happens in the hobby shops.

I will persist and go to the indoor club and ask my questions and see what happens.

Thanks for you information Tim

Aiden (organizer) is very knowledgeable in all things electric heli's and will steer you in the right direction for sure.

When I wanted to start heli's my club told me I had to learn how to fly planes first which wasted the first couple of years of flying.

As far as the Walkera's go I a speaking from experience. I have had hours and hours spent trying to get a few right for people for no decent result and a lot of frustration.

Good luck and I am more than happy to help with any questions!
