Just wanted to let you know that we are still working with the council on getting land for a nitro 1/8 off road track on the east side of Melbourne.

Unfortunately one of the main bits of land that we have been working with the council for the last 12 to 18 months has now fallen through.

But all is not lost as we are still working with them on other land. I will try to keep you updated as to our progress.

Not yet, need to get the soil sample and construction approval through the council and then we can get in to it.

Sorry to say that we have had some unforeseen hold ups, but we are still working on getting the building works under way as soon as we can.
After doing so much work to get to this stage I am really itching to get cars onto a track.

Hi All

Just want to let you know that we are still working behind the scenes to get this track up and running. I cant believe the amount of paperwork, time and phone calls involved.

Does anyone have contact with businesses around the Knox area in general that can help with the free supply of clean clay and machinery as our contacts so far have not been able to help yet. We have had several times already where the clay they have is what we need but due to free dump sites being closer to there job site where not able to supply it to us.
Also fencing materials (pine poles, star pickets etc). I have a couple of quotes that are about to go to council to see for they can help with funding the fence.

If anyone does have contact details could you please PM them to me or post here.

All I know at this stage is there is a potential second track in the west of Melbourne being investigated

Hopefully when we get these tracks up and running the hobby will grow and get some more people buying from the LHS.

We now have a supply of clay lined up, sample is in with council for testing. All the planing etc paperwork is also with the council. Now just wait for the approval on everything.

Just a reminder we are planing a basic race day/get together on the 23rd Feb.

really, the council needs to test the clay....??? what for??? it's clay/dirt, comes from the ground, going back onto the ground... correct me if im wrong..!

They test to make sure that the clay is not from a contaminated site like an old petrol station or something like that.

Started marking out the track lay out and fence line with Sam, will finish it off on Tuesday.
Boy it feels great to see something happening.
