Well with all the behind the scenes stuff taken care of by Colin ( mouse28 ) the club now has a permanent land site, fencing approved, fence funding and clay approved to get the ball rolling, We have spent the last few days getting the track layout marked out on the site so that the clay can be delivered as close to possible to the positions of the jumps saving a lot of hard labour, the clay should start arriving this week, wahoo we are under way.

The current track design has a nice wide open style to assist all the novice guys to help them get experience with there nitro/electric 1/8th scale rc cars, as the club grows so can the track size and layout, we have made sure that there is also a good amount of space between each racing section as the site is open for public to use all year round once we get the fencing in place and the clay spread into jumps, table tops, berms and so on, so we will keep you posted when we are all systems go.

Well here is photos of the layout transferred onto the ground at the property via 18 cans of marking paint so that people can call past and have a look with there own eyes as to how the track will flow and so that the trucking guys know where to drop each load of clay at the property making our life a little bit easier, so dust of the shovel, rakes and wheel barrows as there will be working bees announced in the near future where as many hands will make much easier work of what needs to be done so we can all start enjoying the site.

1. The front straight and the pit entry

2. The first turn at the end of the straight and the pit exit

3. The first 180 degree turn which will have a cambered berm

4. The second 180 degree turn heading to the step up area

5. The drop off onto the back row and big jump

6. The 180 degree turn onto the rhythm jumps section

7. The 180 degree turn onto the jump over the table top and then turn onto the straight

8. The pit exit of the racing line to avoid obstruction of cars on the track

So this is where it is up to today, sorry I missed you all last Sunday but family matters kept me away from attending to meet all of you, cheers Savage Sam

Its been a long time coming but the EMCC crew have put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes, I hope that we get plenty of helpers to assist getting this club off the ground and into a very strong position so that the site can grow, drivers stand, on site power, toilet block, undercover pits, bigger faster track layout with lots of big jumps, piping and most of all a strong membership base for years to come, cheers

HELP NEEDED : Any one that plans on becoming a member of the club or just planning on using the track we need your help right now, the track layout is now completed, the surface has been scraped as smooth as it can be with the bobcat and now needs to be rolled and compacted, the drivers stand/mound is also ready as pictured, we are planning on getting the roller in next weekend but what we need right now is as many people to go down to the track over the Easter long weekend and during next week and take a bucket/container with you and collect any and as many rocks over a 10 cent piece size from the racing surface before we roll these small rocks into the surface.

We would like these rocks then placed on the concrete slab that is also pictured so that we can see what has been collected which will show how much interest there is in people wanting to use the track and property, these rocks will cause issues in the track surface if they get rolled into the final racing surface as they will pull out over time and the track surface will get rough so please spare a few hours to call past and help remove as much of this rock as possible over the next week before we plan on rolling the track, cheers Savage Sam and the guys at Eastern model Car Club.

Working Bee at Eastern Model Car Club track this Friday and Saturday at East Gate Court, Knox ( 1/8th & 1/10th scale nitro & ep ) the track layout is done, been rolled twice so its time to get the piping pegged down around the track layout before the safety fence goes up and then its open for traffic, would be good to see a few helpers down there over the next two days, cheers Savage Sam
