lol....mate got bored with his TL01 and painted it blue...

haha, was hoping some 3rd party company had brought out some a copy, maybe in a better nylon plastic or something.

We go thru quite a few of those knuckles on the M03.

Oh ya, we hit anything and everything...

Most amazing time was when one of the guys crashed & broke BOTH knuckles!!!

Now that gets my respect!!!

Tamiya now has alloy knuckles for M03. They have some for TG10 too, so that'll fit the TL01 etc. But as to be expected, they aren't cheap.

Some heavy-duty nylon ones at 1/2 the price would be nice though.

eagle racing make ally steering knuckles for the TL01. a mate has em on his

Yeah, that'll obviously make it over-capitalised!!!

I see a lot of "silly" owners who've spent hundreds if not a grand doing up their TL01s until its all shiny alloy and what not. All that dosh spent and you still can't replace the plastic chassis & the beefy transmission...

For same cash we'll just go buy a Surikarn, eh?

some ppl have different tastes though dude.....some may really like the
TL01 chassis...and im betting there will be a TL02 maybe....

i know ppl who spends heaps on the OLD TA02 to make it race worthy, with all the carbon bits alloy etc.....

you guys are soo serious about this racing stuff..though the closest i
have to racing is a few friend in a carpark, so top of the line crap
dont matter.....id rather bash around in a half modded TL01 and break a
arm and knuckle than bust up a new EVO3SL..

just my opinion anyway..

Tastes - maybe.

Sense - doubtful.

Mind you, these same guys that will later on try and sell their TL01 for $500 (car only, no radiogear).

Then $400.

And $300.

Maybe even $200.

...

Just common sense advice I guess. Doesn't pay to over-capitalise.

I only paid 450 for my surikarn as I am good friends with the owners of a hobby shop here in perth. The surikarn does get raced but only on a carpet track. I consider not racing the car as a waste.

I still have my modded Tb-01 and hpi super nitro rally to hack around with when racing once a week is not enough of a fix
