Hey Gang,

Anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on these things:

They sure look cool, and I bet they sound awesome, but a couple of issue come to mind:

1. I can't see if there is a nipple for the exhaust/tank pressure line

2. I thought the whole point of tuned exhausts is that they are (supposedly) TUNED for the length of pipe/number of revs ratio. How is that gonna work with these things?

What do we think - I *want* to believe these are a good idea .....but ...

Yeah, looks like a backyard hack job.

Made in Usa, that little village in downtown Japan.

Don't know how he creates "backpressure"... stuff it with steelwool? You'd then tap the spot where there's enough pressure for the fueltank.

Tuned pipe don't necessarily need to be short & bulbously stumpy... it can be a long tube as long as it can set up the correct resonance of gas pulses. (Come to think of it, a didgeridoo is a tuned pipe...

Maybe, maybe not. The pipe is equi-volume all the way through, so there's no fat spot where the gases can slow down and deposit the oil mist.

The average T-Maxx does quite a few wheelies too, I'd imagine.
