Hey Morphy,

If you have a look on Ebay you will find MRC has the steering mod parts for sale in kit form. Saying that I think doing the steering mod has been the culprit in killing the first gear in my steering servo. The ONFA Pirate servo saver is very strong, possibly stronger than the stock HPI steering servo. If the "break" rate of your servo saver ismore than what your servo is rated at then you will end up with problems on your hands.

Has anyone had the same problem ? What did you do to get around this ?

Im thinking of trying the Kimsbrough 124 servo saver and the hi-tec 645 mg servo.

Morphy,

Those bits are spot on. You may need a couple of screws and matching nylocs to finish it off, but in a nutshell, they are the main components.

Odum,

I haven't had any dramas as yet. I am waiting on my 645 to arrive, but the stock steering servo has held up ok so far.

Regards,
