Sounds good as long as the hexes arent rounded. Later on you can get the adapters and welds. I think 2 joes at LHS are about $70AU

Mate to be honest I'm not so sure it's a *great* deal.

You can buy new 40 series Proline Mambos with Big Joes from Tower for $64.00 USD at the moment. That leaves you $11.00 USD to put towards your shipping bill... which will probably cost about $25.00 USD for airmail.

Personally I'd rather pay the extra $10.00 USD and get new parts that I know will be OK.

I just ordered them from tower and they cost $67 but the postage was $40.

I then added heaps stuff to the order and the postage stayed the same, so it all worked out for me.

So for big joes straight to your door, its cheap - but only just. Personally I spent the extra $30AUD and bought new.

Fire... the prices you quoted for the Big Joes seem a bit high, check out these links to Tower and see.

Big Joe tyres on Tower Hobbies

ProLine 40 Series Mambo rims on Tower Hobbies On special at the moment

Now lets do the math, you need

Big Joe's x 2 sets (4 tyres) = USD $19.99 x 2 = USD $39.98

Mambo rims x 2 sets (4 rims) = USD $13.99 x 2 = USD $27.98

Total = USD $67.96 + postage (use Morphy's figure of $40.00 USD) = $107.96 USD

@ current rate of 1 AUD = 0.696467 USD the shipped to you should be $155.01 AUD

But as Morphy said... you can add a lot of nice little cheap things into that postage rate without it going up at all. Of course none of this helps if you don't have credit card facilities to pay on-line.

I wish the extras were cheap! Spend another 100usd on small crap! Well at least postage for them was freeish and I used the $20 offer...

Good deal bro
... just remember that the rims I gave you the link too are on special at the moment... I think about $5 USD off per pair. Also when you are ready to order put a message up in

This parts order thread

And I'll give you any current coupon codes that I have... sometimes up to $20.00 off an order.

The Big Joes come with the correct foam and the rims I gave you in the link on the previous page do not need any adapters.Edited by: Skidd

Err no, the real reason behind getting Outbacks over any other rim is
because they come with the Tamiya TXT-1 5 stud connection as opposed to
the normal hex bolt shaped hole which gradually gets chewed out.

That's why the SC adapters are required.
