I am thinking of getting an upgraded steering servo for my savage and I see that the hobby shops carry them with two different connectors;

Either the Futaba J Connectors or

JR and Airtronics Z connector.
[/list]

Which one is the correct one for the standard Savage 25 RTR? I might as well order the one that fits.

the savage controll system is made by Futaba, so go with the Futaba J conection, that is what i did with my 645mg. The different between the both is that the Futaba has a little piece on the side and the other dosnt correct me if im wrong

cheers

get the fatuba J connector, it will fit the stock reciever and if you want to upgrade to a JR reciever or something in the future you can just shave the thin plastic slot off.

Thought the TF4 radio was made by Sanwa/Airtronics - does it have blue plugs?

If the plug doesn't have the side tab then it ain't a "Futaba J"; yes otherwise the wires are fully compatible. Sanwa plug has chamfered on one side to polarise it but its possible to chop a Fut-J plug to work in a Sanwa hole.

ps: don't ya wish your Savage was BIG ENOUGH TO SIT IN???
