Hey,

Over the last few days Ive added a few mods and accessories to my savage 25. It now has:-

*GPM titanium turnbuckles
*GPM Centre Skid Plate and Fuel Tank Protector
*Throttle , steering, 4 spider diff and second gear mods
*Motor Saver Air Filter
*HPI Dual Disk Brakes

*HPI Reverse module
*Proline Land Cruizer Body
*Modified Roll Bar

*Venom failsafe and temp monitor

*13 tooth vented clutch bell

*30 weight shock oil in the front and 35 in the back

*HPI black ribbed Exhaust

*R/C Raven Triple Rate Springs

Thanks to Mark from MRC, I have purchased 90% of these bits from him as good hobbyshops in Cairns dont exist !

Here is a pic of the modded roll bar, it only cost 15 bucks at an
aluminium fabricators. They just welded a plate over the front and I
drilled a 50 mm hole then hacksawed and filed it until I achived the
desired result. It shouldnt bed so easily now !

Here it is on the car

This is a quarry just down the road where I run my savage when its not raining and as of late that hasnt been often !

Nice Job Odum!!!!

I got the LandCruiser body to,but is stillin the process of painting it. I reckons the landcruiser was built that lil bit tuffer than the patrol. I will post some pics soon, but have a mate with a swb 40-soft top,and he gives the thing hell. stock 6cyl 4 spd. and when i say he gives it to it, im talkin 140 down the freeway zappin an zippin in the traffic, dropping rubber at the lights at least 4-5 out of 10. i been off road with him, an ended up poppin aswivil hub out in kinglake an havin to limp it back home. mith major angle on the front wheel-lookin like it was jusssst bout to break off, it still held.Airbourne on more than two occasions, an not a few inchs air, more like foot-foot half.(likely reason for swivil hub!)This 40 has NO major mods. is stock rocket. infact is well worn an still only rarely gives up the ghost. spoze bein soft top is mod but hey cant b heped.

Orum-- Can u do a few more pics for us please? back sides top? inside?? i brushed the chekerplate..yerself? am thinking bout blacking the roof line an making soft top? may look strange but.... not sure.. still in process of wondering if to outline window surrounds. or if to leave headlight/tail lights clear.

Anyways Nice Job!:D hanging for more pics;)

Hey foolsp33d,

will post more pics later but regarding the reverse module its alot of
fun and easy to use. It does add a bit of weight to your truck though.
The reverse component of the reverse module is fragile so make sure you
truck is stopped before you engage it. I have placed a 3 mm grub screw
in the reverse switch on the hpi controller to make sure I dont bump
it. To switch reverse I now use the channel reverse switch , where the
other two are. In fowards the reverse module is direct drive so no
extra drag or the motor or gearbox but in reverse then its a different
story. I still easily pull second gear in reverse and on high grip
surfaces I even pull wheelies.

HPI say not to use a 13 clutch bell with the 49 supr gear, but I tried
anyway and I destroyed 2 49 spurs. I havent had any issues since I have
installed the 15 tooth clutch bell !

I did all the silver on the cruizer body with a brush . After having
the cruizer body for a while Im no fan of it. Its a prick when starting
and refuelling on the go. It plays havoc with cooling, Ive cut a 40 mm
hole in the front windscreen, removed one back window and cut the two
front windows down and I still have cooling issues.

Prices, these will be near guesses

The titanium turnbuckles are from savage central and they were 40
australian, try monster truck parts australia for these, they have them
in stock now !

Centre skid came from Monster Truck Parts Australia and was 38 dollars

HPI dueal brakes came from MRC and was 25-30

Vented clutch bell also came from MRC and was 15 or so

Fuel Tank Protector also came from MRC 25 or so, cant recall

failsafe and temp monitor came from radio models and cost 90 for both
including freight but MRC carries these now, might be cheaper, Id check
his prices first.
