I am getting a team associated b4.2 buggy and I am going to put a 17.5t motor in it.
I like the tekin rs gen 2 and the reedy mach 2. But I am not sure what esc???
I also like the speed passion Reventon stock club esc and motor.
I am going to race what do you thinks the best.

Speed Passion are a great starting point, good pricing and quality gear. The ESC's are better then the motors though so I wouldn't recommend a combo

I have an LRP SXX Competition that would run the x12 with no issues

I am guessing you are running Stock Buggy? Assuming this, you need to have a Blinky mode esc and 17.5T motor, forget looking for a combo, it just wont happen, as the parts you are after are race speced parts, not general consumer items. The next thing you need to know, is that you only need a 45A esc for Stock Buggy and a 17.5 Motor.

Ignore Speedpassion as the Reventon esc are crap. And by crap i mean crap, I race and had reventons and i know a lot of other guys who have had them and they all changed. The new 1.1 pro is ok, but it is $200+ and as you bauked at the LRP i guess that is out of your budget.

The next best esc that just about everyone is using is Hobbywing, they do 2 low end versions, Just Stock and Extreme Stock, the Extreme Stock is $70 US shipped from here http://www.rcmart.com/hobbywing-xtreme-stockbk-stock-black-p-35715.html

For motors in Stock, look at what most guys are using, Fantom and Trinity are the 2 names i see the most at the track, Give Gary Study a call in Brisbane about Fantom motors, here is a link to their website http://icecoldrc.weebly.com/ motors are $90 + post.

Hope that helps you a lot.
