Nice

Is that the extended version?
Nope, it's the standard length one. I really don't think the F350 extended would fit on a Savage.

"Looking as good" is the thing... Running good? Hardly.
My last run around the track the S25 was obviously struggling - I brought it in for a temp check with the trusty pocket Duratrax Infrared cheapie thing that's sitting on the back of the shell in the photo... It flashed HI on the screen.. I tried another temperature reading and this time it flashed 240c... So I think it was running a little too hot...

Considering after idling for a minute before running it on the track and it was sitting steadyon 64c, and when going around the track it was blowing a good cloud of blue smoke out the rear, I can only assume I got a fearsome air leak towards the end of my run.

The body is still in one piece
must have been soft bashing
j/k

Well the engine was so sick I couldn't get a decent speed up to damage anything.
It was fun to cruise around the track not touching the brakes and passing those who were travelling much faster but missing the corners.

If you look closely I managed to put a slight crack in the body near the fuel tank. It really is a minor crack though.

I'm luck if a body last just one outing... I'll have achieved heaps if I can come home with a boddy looking that good after a couple of days out.

Well between having no power for lift off, and spending 30 minutes
trying to start the motor with an old glow plug, I think I did fairly
well.

I must say I'm quite impressed with my Duratrax D cell glow starter and
Jaycar 5000mAh NiCD... I haven't charged it for weeks and it has
started AUSRC's, Dan's and my Savage over the last two weeks... Still
got plenty of glowing power left in it.

Also - the Proline F350 body seems fairly hardy. It's been bent every
which way - been stuck twisted over the bumpers and bent up funny, plus
countless landings on the roof and tailgate. Seems to have come through
looking fine. I'll be getting another F350 to replace this one I think.
