Hi Guys,

Well, this Savage has been in the build for quite some time now and is still going strong. There is still a lot I am going to do to this truck, but at this stage the mods read as follows.....

RB 063P tuned pipe
Savage SS exhaust mounting spring
GPM Delrin 48T spur gear
OFNA 16T clutch bell
Motor Saver 3 stage filter
SC OFNA Throttle and Brake linkage setup
SC Four gear diff mod - front and rear
SC OFNA MP servo saver set up
GPM alloy steering rod
OFNA fuel filter
GPM centre bash plate
GPM fuel tank guard
HPI dual stainless disc brakes
HPI HD centre dog bones
HPI HD centre drive cups
GPM Titanium turnbuckles
RPM Titan Stablemaxx rims
Imes Swamp Dawg tires
Venom Failsafe
Venom Temp Monitor
Hitech 645MG steering servo
Hitech 475HB throttle/brake servo

Here are some pictures of the Truck in it's current form:

waiting for the Picco26 to arrive

Hooray - The Picco26 is here!!

Some extra's for the rebuild

Better make sure the motor can breath....

She's all back together and ready to bash!!

After a heavy day bashing (body looks a mess!!)

So a new body goes on.....

Thanks Bender.

The Picco is an absolute weapon!! I just can't keep the front down on this truck. I am currently using a 48T Spur Gear and 16T Clutch Bell, but am in the process of changing to an 18T CB to gain more top end and less bottom end.

This should cure the reaching for the sky problem and give it some insane top speed too!!

Shaun,

A couple of things.

 1.
Where did you get the Shock Socks from?

Is that GPM spur 49T?

Would you recommend breaking in a Wasp 26 on 18T CB, 49T Spur - or is 15T CB / 49T Spur better for Break In?

Did you end up cutting some breathing holes in the new body?

Thanks,

Hey there Ausrc,

I bought the shock socks from Ebay. But don't go to Ebay Australia, use the U.S. one (ebay.com) and they sell them on here all over the place. I actually do not run the socks any more as they were getting all messed up and looked a bit crappy.

The GPM Delrin Spur is 48T. I love this Spur, it is very strong and can take the abuse of the Picco easy.

For break in I would use a low tooth spur like a 15 or 16. I broke mine in using the OFNA 16T clutch bell. This is due to the rich settings you will be running, so you do not want it to bog down and load up off the line, which it may do using an 18T bell.

I have not cut any holes in the new body yet as I did not want to butcher it. I will, however, be cutting a round hole in the windscreen and then just see how the temps are from there before doing any others.

Cheers,
Shaun.
