Damn straight!!!!!! They look even more impressive in real(not on camera!). Very happy. I had to get blue chassis mounts to break up all the purple (and they were out of purple
). Should be nice and strong now. All the rigid parts are strengthened. With the centre skid plate, it will be impossible to bend this chassis. I finished off the old chassis last night
. Bent nearly at right angles

Seperate, they do have package deals, but none that suited me.

Hey Husky,

Whats the weight difference in the gpm tvp's compared to the HPI ones ?

Has anyone tried carbon fibre tvp's ?

I dont have scales accurate enough to measure the weight difference. From holding them they feel lighter than stock if anything. Im in the process of trying to get some carbon fibre TVP's layed up at uni, it's my excuse for an assignment. The weight saving will be minimal, the aluminium TVP's dont weigh much. A tank of fuel would weigh more than the TVp's

Oh, and carbon fibre has poor fracture toughness. So even a deascent knock from a rock that may flick up could cause weak spots and start to chip away at the resin.

A friend of mine is a boat builder with access to all things
fibreglass related. I have given him one of my clear bodies to make me
a carbon fibre bash body, sort of like an all over roll bar in the
shape of a body. I was also going to expermient with carbon fibre TVP's
but for the effort it would take to hand cut out everything etc I
doubt its worth the hassle, especially when u can get the aluminium
TVP's so cheaply.
