Guys. After replacing my stock air filter with a high perf filter and changing of my fuel filter, i have noticed a flat spot. When i give it full throttle i have this blank spot on half way. What could it be any suggestions? The last time i bashed i went to menai where it was extremely dusty. Could there be dirt somewhere?

Thanx

My first thing to check would be tuning. Did you adjust your needles to
match the new air filter? If it's sucking more air through the carb,
you'll need to richen the high end so it can suck enough fuel through
to keep up.

If it was starving for air it will bog down and belch oily fumes
out the exhaust. If it's starving for fuel it will bog down once
it doesn't have enough fuel to sustain further acceleration.

Which sounds more like your experience akkk?

its not the first case jerrah. I havent noticed much oil exiting the exhaust. I can say, the last run we did, it had alot of oil around the filter (i have cleaned it since then and put less oil around the foam), but when i took it out on the weekend, i removed the capping around the air filter and put some of the wifes pantys around it so it can breathe more

Yeah akkk, I'd deffinately start by richening the HSN by 1/8th turns.
By allowing the engine to breathe better you've effectively leaned out
your engine. You'll probably find it's running hot too.
