Where are they getting the 180 shells? damn thats a nice piece of kit

Yokomo makes them, they were the original offering for the Yokomodrift car.

The Trueno kit is only a recent announcement from Yokomo. (imho it has too much of a bodykit to be the Initial-D car.)

Yokomo should be selling the shells and the drift tyres as spareparts, however there aren't any LHS up my way that has Yoks on the shelves.

why buy a car just for drifting when a car as simple as a TL01 can be set up for it..i just want the bodies, and the rims..

Well, it *is* the first official Drift car kit out there - one shouldn't spoil Yokomo's efforts at marketing!!!

Drift car's not too shabby either, its a 'sport' version of the Yok SD.

ahh some camber...the tl-01s wheels are like that already, because of the loose parts...since pvc can't flex like rubber it doesn't run flat on the ground.

my first set of pvc is nearly worn out already...its more worn out on the inside than outside...so my car looks like the pvc is still new as the outside has hardly worn out...

also first time drifting is hard as the pvc hasn't worn out for max contact to the road...heh...so do some donuts with a battery and its all good...

I put the electrical tape on the tyres of my car and tried drifting this weekend, and i was amazed at the total lack of traction the car had... wheelspin everywhere and a few kisses of the kerb thanks to very poor braking from speed :S

But with a bit of practice, got some nice drifts happening!! Great stuff!
