i bought it off MRC for 28.55 or something

30.55 shipped for me..

its caused buy the rotostart comming loose.. it should always be firm..

i have cracked the EXACT same hole.. and same as SKIDD..

we both bought new ones.. i was also unfortunate to have cracked a
screw which i could not back out.. and just yesterday broke the same
screw! AGAIN (top right of the plate).

keep checking how loose the backplate is.. keep it firm!

cheers

CVLAIS... as Fire says, I've cracked the exact same screw as well.

And again as Fire says, I found it was caused by the rotostart gear unit on the back of the motor being loose. I now get into the habit of checking those screws every few tanks. I know it's a pain because you have to take the engine out to do it. This isn't a drama for me as I always am changing spur gears or pulling it part for other breakages anyway.
