Band 1 on the 27MHz scale is actually 26.995 ... so yes, they will work.


Using xtals of freq further off the intended tuning will de-tune your radio system (= less range), but for surface use there's probably not enough loss to be of major concern.


HK racers have a heap of these "interesting" frequencies so they can all race their MiniZ Kyoshos 20 at a time.





btw Nowhere have I said they're legal for use in Oz but.

whats the difference between fm and am channel? i think my receiver is AM, can i use 27mhz fm?

FM & AM use the same frequency (ie you can't have 2 cars running on same freq together, they'll clash) but they're not compatible. Do not mix FM & AM xtals.


AM xtals are fully interchangeable, any brand AM usually works in everything AM.


FM are a bit fussier... usually only the TX's brand of FM xtal will work on any system. Another brand of FM xtal usually won't work.


FM xtals are also a lot more expensive.

ok i bought the 26.955 and 27.280MHz AM "Yeah Racing" TX/RX and they don't seem to work on my 27Mhz HoBao Reciever....


you think these are these not compatable? or the crystals r not working?
