James,

Check with MRC Model Car Parts, I know he had some Savage 25 RTRs last time I was talking to him.

http://www.mrcmodelcarparts.com.au

Go to the contacts page and phone him. He is in Canberra and he will ship to Melbourne no probs.

If all else fails, check out Tower Hobbies.

Its been a very long time since I've ever seen a Savage on a local shelf... was commenting same to a shopkeep just the other week.

Which shop/s do you go to?

Most can order them in from DSI if you really wanted one.

Really? That's wierd... 'cos last I heard DSI International was the official HPI distrubutor and they are in Sydney!! </v:stroke></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:f></v:ulas></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shape></v:imagedata></v:shape>

On the Radiomodels thing, Zoomer is spot on, Radio Models is buying from DSI. Thats why they have the Picco 26 models - DSI also distribute Picco, and I think this is the only way they coulld get rid of the 21s after the 25 was released.

Rip the 21 out and put a Picco with it.....

Anyway, glad you found one.

Hey, interesting observation - never thought of that!!

Yea, that'll be the go to clear out stale stocks of the 21.

I'd hate to be the one doing the engine swaps though... reckon you'd need to just about strip the whole chassis to get the engine out.

Was a bit more involved the way a local shop described it; but maybe he's got fatter fingers than others.

Since Jan I've been keeping an eye out for a RTR Savage in any LHS, just to refresh the memory as to layout. Haven't seen one for nearly a year now.

I called them again and they said no we are just a dealer. I told them that they said to me they were the distrubuter and the guy flatly refused that anyone would have said that.

My Bad. Sorry guys. When I spoke to them they told me that they brought them in.

Wouldn't be half surprised if they Grey Imported though... not as if they're the ONLY ones doing it, given the dismal local circumstances.
