My old trueno bit char-g. I came in a pack with 2 bodies, tires, front stabilizers, different gear ratios and witches hats. I have since put in a 2.6 motor.

Haha, I go the other way - I usually sign up first then lurk even if I don't post anything.

Saves hassle should someone else decide to register the name(s) that I want... bloody cybersquatters y'know!!

Trueno set is cool - hard to find now. I was looking for it last year but ended up getting the Initial-D set instead. (Not even a huge fan of iD then, I might add.)

Depends what and where you buy it. Tomy have licensed these things to heaps of OEMs.

If you buy a genuine Tomy - about $39 and Mr Toys / Target / etc.

You can buy the OEMs out of Hong Kong for $7.80US with 2 bodies (LXX Branded). http://www.toyeast.com/proddetail2.asp?pdtid=ADN010

The OEMs have the same hopup availability as the Tomys, just a matter of build quality I guess.

BTW, Nismo, mine is a Blue Skyline.....

No way!!

Tomy licenced nobody, they're all pirated copies plain & simple.

(Australian & UK "Compact Char-G" units is a Tomy product)

Nismo,

Knowing your love of the Skyline I had to take it off topic - I apologise...

Zoomer,

Thanks for the clarification on the copies... I had no idea - I thought they were legitimate OEMS... oops. Bit like the rubics cube huh?

Mine is a Tomy (for the record).

heh heh... and there's Another there that's missing some other bits too.

Just a quick pix taken a year ago when I found the cute Tomy truck; was too lazy to go dig up another BCG chassis from its box. (Tomy truck has steerable wheels & is motorised too, takes an AA I think.)

Weird - 1st I've heard of it.

Admin/Aaron should get back to you soon hopefully - He's Ausmicro's RC nut *and* IT guru all rolled into one. He's been pretty busy ironing out the bugs last few days from the new servers & latest BBS software upgrade.

Thanks for popping over!
