continue of the battery talk from the ESC thread..... click

how do you go about soldering batts together, i was thinking of making a 7.2V pack for the micro..

Ya! Nice video on that page.

I bought a dedicated soldering iron 80W just for doing subC cells. For smaller cells you probably only need a 40W. Be careful not to overheat the cells, don't have the iron on them for more than 2 secs - if you need to your iron is not big enough.

Hammerhead soldering iron tip is necessary if you want to make end-to-end soldering for stick packs... but the biggest drawback is its bloody impossible to un-solder the cells again afterwards (various reasons).

Buy tabbed cells and its much easier.
