hey guys, the diff in my evader is getting a bit dodgy...as if its riding on pebles not ball bearings, but they are round, so i figured id lube it up a bit but i dont really have anything here...so basically what lube should i get for the ball diff (its not sealed)

I've only used Tamiya Ball Diff grease. Most other brands would also offer similar stuff, but Tamiya is usually easiest to find.





btw don't "apply" the grease to the diff or balls.


Get a tiny plastic bag or cut the corner off a big one. Put the grease into the bag. Put the diff balls into the bag & squish them around the grease. Then fish them out and put them straight into the diff.


What's coated on the balls is enough for the diff.





Don't forget to service the thrust bearing too.

what do you mean service the bearings? throw new ones in? if i need new bearings would it be best to go in the direction of carbide balls or will that just wear away the ball holder?
