its more or less a bring what you got, as they organise races while you
there..like stock buggies, nitro trucks, touring, vintage tamiya
etc.....

if your up to it post it here.....

also any recomendations on where we can hold this event??..it will have
to be a good spot for most ppl, and be able to run touring and offroad
cars!!

PS, i wont be for at least 4 or 5 months....due to we have to set the

Thanks for the Props. Dan.

I say lets get this thing together. All we need to do is find a good time for everyone and a place that will let us run. Not a big deal. Now all of y'all have an advantage over me as Im in canada in not in a real position to start looking for places, but you guys can.

So lets get it together and show those english how it is.

Oh, and lets make it for after may please

yes mate exactly that....just one big place off ppl racing rc's...we
will have to work out wether we want only RC racers to come or anyone
at all, cause theft would be a big issue.....

have to be during a college holiday as well...soooo it wont be till
later this year....yeah atleast 2 months after may..

Not to sound negative or anything
, but there's a few flaws that I'd better pointout...

1) "Snetterton" means nothing to most ppl outside of UK. Its just the place with a track where the TamiyaClub fellas are meeting for their annual playdate.

2) UK's geography is slightly different to Oz... here, our distances are immense.Ozzies take a day to drive between cities. In Europe you could *walk* between country towns, and driving an hour might see you in the next EU country.

3) TamiyaClub is a big bunch of old fogies
who like playing with ANCIENT Tamiya toys. They don't mind taking the time/travel toget together for a Vintage Tamiya bash -retirees? heh heh- just to see all their prized classic cars running together. Like, some of their RC cars are over 25 yrs old - the RC equivalent of a Model-T Ford.

(Is the average Age of ppl here over 25 even??
)

4) there's already a few groups that do occasionally meet in Oz egAusMicro had one (their 2nd) recently in Vic. There was also an inpromptuTamiyaClub meet in Vic the year before... about 2 ppl turned up - haha.

5) There's lots of possible locations to hold a meet at, anywhere with an RC track is good. Getting the track owner's permission and/or sole use of the track is even better. If there's also a pub nearby... can't top that!

6) nothing againt AusRC, but we are a very generalistic crew of chatboarders. There's no main "theme" yet behind which we can rally a get-together. I think there should be a 'cause' first... eg Savage racing meeting, Concours for Scale RC or Truck rockcrawling. If its just a "lets meet up to play RC car" then ho-hum it ain't worth the effort for big travelling and most won't bother unless they happen to live just next door. There are already diehards who race RC every weekend in every Oz city.
