I've done a bit of FPV. More flying rotor craft, but some surface,. 1/8 talion at local go cart track..
FPV flight over Bordertown
I suggest using an omni antenna on your car and at on your RX/screen. Directional = Good resolution and low latency over uninterrupted line of sight. Omni = reasonable latency and resolution through small obstacles. If your using diversity gear then an omni and a directional.
That being said 600 meters is pretty close to the limit of 5.8GHz that close to ground. To go further you will need to use a lower vid tx/rx frequency. ImmersionRC does both 2.4GHz (medium range - 2500m) and 433MHz (long range, 15+ km. Low resolution video feed). I'm assuming your RushTank Solo is transmitting a full 1W?
Feel free to bounce ideas off me. I'll do same. J
