Is a 52 tooth better than a 49 that came with the savage.25 should i get both or just two 49 and will a 18 tooth clutch bell gear a 52 tooth spur gear work.

to set mesh i grab a bit of paper and fold it twice so its 3 layers thick

cram between the spur and clutchbell, tighten up engine mouts, remove paper and mesh is set

Savage SS,

18 / 52 Combo will not work. Check this link:

If you are an Offroader, stick with 15 / 49 or a max of 16 / 48. 18 / 49 is ok for street racing, but is to tall for offroad.

Hope that helps.

The hpi clutch/spur chart says the 13/49 does not fit. Is that
physically fit in the space or the teeth combination will never mesh
correctly ?
