Yes, it takes all standard gear... mainly 'cos it IS a 1/10 car, just "Mini 1/10" (like a M03 Tamiya).

There was talk late last year about running another Mini class for these 4WDs; some of the boys have bought the Yoks and some others got the Xray for xmas. The remaining cheapskates
went on the hunt for the old HPI Mini RS4 Pros or the Xpress Mini 4WDs... 'cos they'll do essentially the same thing. Idea was to allow mod motors (maybe max 12T) but with only 4 cells.

Since then... don't think anything has appeared out of all that discussion.

oh, forgot to add...

The new cars (Yok, Xray) are designed for 4-cells.

The old cars (Xpress, HPI mRS4) can take 6-cells without mods.

4 cells is plenty. i watched one go with a 6t double and they fly

the xray is bit too expensive for my liking

Best thing with running hot mods on 4-cells... can go forever between rebuilds.

Rip them open after 50 runs (only because you're bored with having nothing to fix) and they still look like barely run-in.

Likewise I miss racing 1/12 pan cars... gosh they are quick running mods & 4-cells!!

depends on motor. they are lighter than a 1/10tc but not by much. they also run 4cells. being a crafty gimp i should be alble to work out a 6cell pack on to car with out double stacking cells. i just have to wait for stock to come in from the hobby shop
