The budget is around $300. Can be slightly more but definitely not $400. My wife is gonna kill me. For my 14 yo son. I am building a Team Durango DEX410 at the moment and will be passed to him once he is familiar with it. Sometime we will race each other for fun.

Requirement:
* Scale 1:10
* Many spare parts available. This is the most important requirement for me.
* Nitro or brushless (preferably 11V).
* 4WD or 2WD (but from good big brand). For off road. Truck or buggy is fine as long can take off-road.
* Bonus: if have slip clutch

At the moment my best candidate is HSP, FTX and Hobao product. But I am not sure about it since it has so many mixed response from user.
Other is BSD??, Redcat racing, FTX, River Hobby, Hobao. I am so confused.

Recommendation please. Please make it short so don't confuse me. I am really new to RTR brand.

Any recommendation people? Please. I live in NSW.

Yeah very hard to find anything in brushless at that price. HSP brushless stuff can be had for around $240 on ebay but it will disappoint compared to your Durango. I've owned a few and my 5yr old son still has a brushless buggy and as s basic basher they are fine. But absolutely hopeless on a proper track with jumps etc. I was going to suggest a used Traxxas Slash 2wd as they are almost unbreakable and a great basher. What ever you buy just make sure parts are readily available near you or online in Australia etc. Nothing worse that buying something then having to wait 2-3 weeks for parts.

Thanks guys. I think now my mind is more to between FTX and/or River Hobby (looks like known as VRX outside Australia). Any comment about these 2?

Both FTX and River Hobby has Slipper clutch. FTX is more proper one but looks like parts availability is less than what River Hobby (not 100% sure). Any comment guys?

Options:
1. FTX Vantage 1/10 4WD Brushless RTR (A$350)
2. River Hobby Spirit EBL 1/10 4WD Brushless RTR (A$299)

Both using LiPo 7.4Volts.
