This is my crawler I built about a year ago based on a TXT-1.

It has most of the standard Crawler Mods :

Cut Chassis

Cut Tires

Narrowed Rims

Gearbox raised and reversed

Revo Drive Shafts

Novak Super Rooster ESC

60T Motor with a 12T Pinion

Bash Plate

Battery moved to the front

Locked Diffs

4 wheel Steering

etc, etc

Ive got some other mods in mind, like the Bead Lock Rims and Moabs I just bought from Decim8 (they're gonna be sick)

Price and Time really depend on a lot of things like:

What hand skills you have? (building and Fabricating Parts)

Where you get the stock truck and parts (Shop or Ebay etc)

The great thing about these trucks is youdo a lot of the modsyourself like locking diffs, cutting the chassis, making bash plates and servo mounts etc.

My first TXT (the one in the pic) would of cost me around $1000 dollars 2 years agowith radio and everything, rchobbies.com now sell the stock truck for $630 and I just picked up my latest TXT (for a mate) for $400 from ebay, so where you buy the truck makes a huge difference.

To build the stock TXT out of the box took me a couple of afternoons over a couple of beers, and probably the same again for all the mods Ive done.

Some things you needare PATIENCE, hand tools/skillsand BEER!

But once your done and you look at what you have created
its all worth the effort!Edited by: 4x4xfar
