RE: Clarke's Scrath Build F350 Dual Cab Heavy Duty Truck
Hi everyone, Forgive my poor English and it has been first time I post thread in an Aussie RC forum. I am new immigrant from China and has been in scale rc for 1 year.
Hope I can know some friends around Parramatta NSW 2150 area.
What's shown in the photo is my new little project on Tamiya F350 body shell, and I will build a Ford F350 dual cab and dual rear wheel heavy duty pick-up.
Also, can anyone please advise me how to insert photos in the thread context? I don't feel like to use attachment function.
I will post more photos on building this F350 HD later. Cheers!
Due to the Photobucket.com web maintenance, I could not update building process with new photos in the weekend, apologize for it. Here are more photos about building the dual cab interiors......
Thank you for the comments. The reason for left hand drive is I just want to make this Heavy duty look like 100% imported from United States. I don't have a name for the paint but I know how to make the painting work turn out look like this:
I will build gas tank( battery tray) with abs styrene sheet, and it seems like 2200mah lipo 2s will be the best size to fit in this chassis. Receiver and ESC are to be located right within that FAKE V8 Engine. In regarding to the interior of roof and doors, I am using some 2mm thick foam sheet from local art-craft store and brush with corn silk beige. Will post more photos soon......cheers!
Sorry for being late updating, just did a little bit research to understand how Tamiya putty works, and now this Heavy-duty truck turned out like this:
I realise that this Tamiya putty shrinks a lot after drying, I will not use this putty again for my next build. I will do some rebuild or mods on the rear body fender to make it look more smooth.
Just applied another layer of Tamiya basic putty in order to completely fill all the gaps and make the cab top looks more even......will sand it again tonight......
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
