Gday so I blew my clutch spring and replaced it and I thought I'd put it in the right way but since loc tighten the nuts it just revs Nd hardly moves so I'm guessing it's in the wrong way is that about right , and apparently I put too much loctite and now I've got a nut locked in and stuffed the head so would I be right in assuming I'm a Dick , hehehe very frustrated
After a blow torch a new easy out , hammer and some gentle persuasion I got the bolt out and the clutch is in the correct way , and when it's revved the clutch expands as I assume that's what it should do , so I'm a dumped as to why it revved an idles fine but doesn't move just crawls even on high revs , confused.com
Check all of your set screws on the Pinions and spur gears. Check they are seated correctly on the flats of the shafts. Also check your diff. As well as the out drives and basically anything that is on the drive train.
Gday thanks heaps are there any videos on here that would assist me or should I have a look on YouTube , I'm learning as I go so videos are helping me take things apart, and obviously everyone's great advice is also a huge help , cheers heaps
This is what happened to the diff gears when the diff came apart.
If you look at the parts manual it will give you a good idea how things go. I don't know of any Tube videos on rebuilding the cars, others may know of some.
