Yes another what to buy thread

Following on my from intro am looking to buy some crawlers (1 for my 7yo son and 1 for me). Already have some Traxxas Monster Jam (Stampede) trucks for speed and general park fun, now looking for specific crawlers now to tackle wood piles, sand pit toys and playgrounds ... so not looking for an all rounder.

Would prefer to keep budget to around $500/truck at the most. Looking at Axial Wraith or SCX10 as they seem to be well recommended?

Axail wraith is more of a all rounder, scx10 is a proper scale crawler.
Both are good, the wraith handles speed better and is larger so it will go over rougher terrain better, scx10 is a better crawler and wont bottom out like the wraith does.
This a great review of the wraith: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjQTIgThVFY
Here's a vid of the stock scx10 kit being driven around by an experienced driver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiB2pMPJFiw

Your on the right track with the Axial stuff, by the sounds of it the SCX10 would suit ya needs down to a tee, if ya keen on building id recommend to go with the kit versions as the stock RTR electronics arnt that great and the kit version comes with a few good hopups.

The new SCX10 Wrangler G6 would the way too go if ya can afford it.

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I was also considering maybe getting an SCX10 for me and a Wraith for my son ... can then have best of both worlds but still have "1 each".
