Could you guys recommended a decent airbrush system, something which can be used mainly for painting RC covers but also general all round painting. I'm pretty artistic & plan on doing an airbrush course in the future. Thank you.
Iwata HP-CS is great for beginners and a lot of pros use them too. There isn't much they can't do so you won't need a different brush for quite a while. It's my work horse. Heres a link to the airbrush where I get all my gear from, you won't likely find a better price or a better shop to deal with. http://southernairbrush.com.au/airbrushes/1468-iwata-eclipse-airbrush-035-mm-gravity.html
For the compressor, just go to your local hardware store and buy a small compressor and a regulator with a moisture trap.
Here's a couple more links.
You can get quieter "airbrush compressors" but they're generally rubbish and will burn out after a few hours use.
As for the paints, I would go with water based for a beginner. This is pretty much all I use now other than urethanes like House of Kolor or the Tru8 range from DNA paints.
Hope that helps.
