    Revo (5309) receiver pack

I want to get a higher mAH battery for my revo but can't seem to find anything that will fit in the space provided. Just wondering if any other revo owners have found anything to suit or what can be done to fit something else in. Have seen a few 1600 mAH NiMH battery packs that would be ok but their just to big.
    Thanks

    Thanks for all the help.lol.
After spending a few hours going through a heap of ebay sellers/stores I found one that is made to fit the Revo.

This is the one that I used to use in my revo. Actually I still have it and use it for bench testing (binding radios, servo centering, etc....). Its a tight fit but it fits the Revo. The extra voltage will not harm the electrics and makes the servos a little quicker and snappier. Also lasts a lot longer than even a 1600mAh Ni-MH pack and virtually zero self discharge unlike the Ni-MH cells. Only thing you will need a LiFe capable charger which most chargers are these days.

Thanks BB, That pack looks ok, but yeah I would have to also get a charger, atm I only have the standard Traxxas chargers that came with the Revo so will have to stick with NiMH for now until I can get one that chargers different batteries. I do have my eye on a charger that chargers the different types of batteries but that will have to wait for now, had to get a new engine & clutch & have a few other parts I need 1st to make Revo a little better.

Cool. I saw that you already found a Ni-MH pack but thought I would just post what I used. Maybe someone else will do a search on the site and come across the thread.

I found another 1 last night that looks ok to, from Australia this one so would take less time to get here. Wouldn't mind something like a Li-Fe pack, & the charger I'm looking at charges them, Lipo's & NiMH. I want to remove opti drive & reverse so maybe could find another type of box for receiver pack & receiver. Actually wouldn't mind the spectrum Dx3s to replace the traxxas set up, they look ok.
