A few tips on trading
It is looking like people are too eager to sell their gear and trading with the Unknown....it may be an idea to not deal with anyone that has not contributed to the forum and successfully reached the 40 post minimum that is required to sell in the For Sale section.
Guys, make sure your ads are accurate, and please include current pickies showing any blemishes on the models you are selling...Dont be in a hurry to sell to the first person that sends a message to you....ensure you have set out any return/warranty conditions in your ads, such as "No Returns" "Second Hand"Üsed" "Light Scratching" so that the buyers are 100% aware of the models current condition.
This is happening to often.
Buyers....Ask all questions prior to committing to purchace an item, if you dont see the info you want to know....you are entitled to ask any and all relevant questions, prior to committing. Making an offer is usually a sign that you accept the models current condition and have allowed for that and are offering a price based on the condition the unit is in.
If using Paypal, you need to write/type all sale conditions in the ad, this will be useful if a situation like this arises, as Paypal can only act with the info that is available, if you are prepared to accept returns, remember to include the time frame allowable, and that return postage costs are who's responsibility.
IMO, used items are "AS IS" and "No Returns" should be a forgone conclusion, but it appears not. I deal with this BS everyday, and the old theory of "Buyer Beware " seems to be out the window, Paypal have turned the "Used Items Rules" on their head and are allowing people to basically buy on spec, if, when they receive an item, they are not 100% happy with their purchase decision, they can just return the item for a refund.
Second Hand is not retail, it is used, pre-loved, and this is usually reflected in the Reduced Price....people these days seem to expect "New Quality" at a bargain basement price, which IMO is an unrealistic thought process.
