Looks great mate, well done to the sponsors for their support and congratulations to the QORLS club for embracing the Large scale rules.
It's onwards and upwards from here....!!
Interested in finding out more Details on the AARCMCC QLD State Championships . Is there a person to contact .Looking to organize a group of SALS Racers to make the trip . Thanks
Well then if its for competitors right across Australia, maybe a bit more info should be posted to give us a little heads up.
Let's not keep it secret like last time.
Lmao ..... Kevin we know it's all about you xx
We are going mate, and it's gonna be big!
I've been involved with the conversations over the last day or 2 and I will be attending and competing.
I am one of the sponsors and I have donated space on my website. This forum has info about QORLS club only . Everyone is welcome. It is separate to my shop.
As you can see we advertize all our events on other forumsas well.
i wasn't aware of that forum, thought it was a bit quiet here. so much so i was not far from getting rid of the baja as there didn't seem to be any decent racing prospects. i've been out of racing for about 18mths and looks like qorls have progressed a great deal since i raced in their first event at belmont, look forward to hopefully dropping in for a race soon.
Cool a bit of Chat , looking forward to this . will push this at the next meeting at SALS to see if we can get a good size group to make the trip. hopefully this is the start of something big for offroad largescale
Skip,
Mate it will be a very good event, we are all looking forward to going as well, it will be good to catch up with you again.
One thing you will need to do from a club point of view is to become registered with AARCMCC.
To compete at a state or national level for any class of RC you need to be a financial member of an affiliated club.
It's not expensive but very much worthwhile.
We have booked Brad Davis from AARCMCC to run our first Large Scale Off Road Championships late in November 2012.
This event will take place at QORLS - Belmont QRA Brisbane.
Advertising will commence very soon on all forums / AARCMACC web site and some shops.
You will be able to enter on line (it will be set up soon by Brad) Entry fees will be accepted by direct deposit or on QORLS race days –please see Peter.
In order to host this event we be giving QORLS a “face lift”early June. We are resurfacing the track, installing drains and more....
QORLS has 60 members on books. We would encourage interstate drivers to express their interest as soon as possible as we will have limited spots available. (More info soon)
Thursday November 22nd - Practice day and setup
Friday November 23rd - Qualifying rounds
Saturday November 24th - Qualifying rounds
Sunday November 25th – Finals and presentation lunchat QRA Bulls Eye Restaurant / Bar
This will be an excellent event, I have been involved with the planning and am very much looking forward to attending and competing on the 2wd Outlaw class.
Well done to QORLS for hosting it, and make sure you post plenty of track pics so we can have a idea of what we will be contending with.
AARCMCC Large Scale Off road Australian Championships
Update on the event.
A suggestion was made by Brad Davis from AARCMCC to changethis event to Australian Championship.
Only AARCMCC affiliated club members will be allowed toparticipate in this event.
SSME and QORLS would like to welcome as many drivers as possible. QORLS will be offering AARCMCC affiliation just for this weekend. This will give everyone an opportunity to participate.
I would like to thank Dean and Brad Davis for ideas, feedback and involvement in this event.
We are still working on details.
Thank you
QORLS
PS
Dawson we will let your tires down next race meet for reviling our secret track layout so soon.
Sounds like its shaping up to be a cracker event guys after talking with Dean yesterday. I know a few SALS guys have shown interest so I think some will be making the trip.
