Hi All,

New guy to this forum.

I'm having trouble finding places to run my Nitro Airboat. Some parks and lakes have signs specifically saying no RC, and others limit RC to Electric (Lillydale Lake)

I get the boat out on the local cricket ground occasionally, but the Cricketers and footballers limit the times I can get out there.

so, where do boaters run in SE Melbourne ? Any help appreciated! Would be keen to meetup for a run one weekend.

Have pics and vids if people are interested in my body board Airboat.

I've had a hectic 6 months at work, and have not got the airboats out at all.... except for a short run in the back yard. I've put a converted Homelite 30cc gas engine onto the boat.... smashed her up fairly good in that short run :)

How East are you ? I've always wanted to see if I could get into the some of the lakes around moorabbin

Melbourne, Victoria casual meet and greet.

Any Melburnians out there who want to meet up for some FE or nitro running? I am not into racing yet as I've not much experience in this hobby but I am into the socialising side of it. I am in Mt Waverley but I am willing to drive across the Westgate if I have to. I currently have an Aquacraft Lucas Oil FE Brushless. I mostly run it at Rowville Lakes, Aura Vale Lake or Lysterfield Lake.

There's the old CSR quarry in FTG, along the dirt rd that runs up behind the train station in upper gully. Now that it's all parklands, the Old pit has been flood to form a decent size lake it's sheltered from wind by tall cliffs & trees, so usually offers calm-ish water& minimal chop. On occassions the water is dead still with the surface like glass.
