I got my nice shiny new Abbate Motor from CFR the other day and was putting in the clutch mountings and noticed that the last one doesnt go down far enough due to another bolt passing through the same hole.
Is this other bolt to be removed or should i dremel off the end of the mount? Is it just something they put in for transport purposes or does it serve a purpose?
It is a clamp to hold down the head in the positions opposite the two head bolts on a two bolt head. One of the mods that abbate do to the motor. I would cut down or get a smaller clutch carrier bolt.
What are you putting it in and which abbate is it?
Thanks for the reply. I am putting it into my FG EVO on-road. It is the current one that was being used over at the big race in europe somewhere cant remember where exactly.
Not sure if Greg's car was running one but apparently the top 4 cars (I think thats what Colin from CFR said but dont quote me on it) were running this version.
Oh, OK the motor. I thought you meant your car was second hand and one of the ones that went over to the worlds. Quite a few people run the Abbates.
