    Angry Savage flux 2350 problem

    Hey guys,
I 'm having some trouble with my savage. In the last couple of days it has had a new spektrum rx put in to it and bound to a dx3s. The savage hadn't been used for about a month. So i turned it on with fully charged lipo's, and yes the lipo's are fine, the first time it turned on as usual, playing the little castle creations tune, i put it on the ground it ran fine for about a second but then it just stopped. I turned it off and back on again, but this time it didn't play the tune as it usually did, it played the first half of it then stopped and the red light flashed for 30 seconds, then it played the rest of the tune and the light set back to it's usual neutral orange colour. So i put it back on the ground and once again it ran fine for a couple of seconds then stopped, then went full throttle into the hedge. So i checked the connection on the rx, it was fine, checked the antenna, it was all good. So any ideas guys?

Also; ESC is Flux Q-base = Castle Mamba max Pro
Motor is Flux aphastar 2350 kv = made by castl
    RX is Spekky sr300

It does sound like a connection issue of some sort, I had something similar happen with my Vorza (Same ESC) and it ended up being the ESC switch had dirty contacts. I changed out the switch and it has been fine since.

Intermittent electrical gremlins would have to be one of my least favourite issues

Do you have the Castle link and Software?

Did you go through the set up proceedure again to re-calibrate the esc to the new radio, this needs to be done if you change radio/receiver to allow the esc to correctly set up the new end points on the radio.

Did you calibrate the ESC to your transmitter ?

Throttle trim needs to be centered and the throttle / brake travel (EPA's) need to be at 100%

Yeah, the trims were set... i think. Thanks for all the help guys i think mm snr is gonna take it to our LHS. What i'm more annoyed about is that it was binded to the model no. of my revo so I can't use that either. I suppose the trusty old slash is there I will check the trims again tomorrow.

Just been messing with jnrs flux, started from scratch with binding on its designated channel on the spektrum and all goes well. Then reset the esc going through the throttle forward and then back method in sequence to the beeps as you do. It seems good and then walk away to approx 5mts from the truck and then all goes bad with no radio cummunication. 5 seconds later it gets worse with the truck hitting full throttle by itself and the wheels flapping from side to side. "its like the frigin thing is possesed". Any way switch off esc and then switch back on but the beep beep tune only goes through it first sequence and doesn't continue on to finish its quite catchy tune, amber light shows until it goes nuts again at full throtle and then the red light light starts flashing frantically. Tried resetting all the settings on the spektrum back to default etc but nothing seems to work.

Would I be right in assuming the ESC is stuffed

Dont like the sound of that

Dodgy ESC or some sort of radio failsafe maybe

Dont guess you have spares to isolate the issue ?

    Where are you located ?

Located in Brissie, might have to seek some assistance from towie as he has been of awsome assistance with our set ups to date. The same radio works fine on jnrs revo when selected so I'm guessing its a esc issue as the reciever is brand new.

    Thanks

Try swapping receivers mate. Just because it is new it don't mean that it can't be faulty. After that you can be confident that the issue is on the ESC side of things.

Problem solved guys, it was the steering servo that shorted out and destroyed the receiver. New servo and receiver under warranty..... and I got a stronger servo, 12kg instead of the stock 9kg. Drove it as soon as it was turned on and it is now better to drive than before.
