Hi everyone,

Hare are a couple of pictures from this morning of Peter's Trex 500 in a Hughes 500E Fuselage.

The 4 blade head makes it look great.

Yep , the bubble canopy is held on by magnets , its easier to get at the battery on this than with a std canopy!

It flew pretty well, balance is good , but it flew tail heavy ; will move the batt forward before I fly it again , on Sunday !

Kudos Pete, that looks awesome. I'm right in the middle of fitting a freshly built Trex 450 into a 500D fuse. The only concern I have is the removal of the boom struts. Is there any value in trying to 'lock' the now floating boom to the fuse tail tube via a high density foam ring?

Yep , Harry; that's a must do, doesn't want to be high density stuff either .. Just pack some foam, sponge type , in between the tail tube and the boom , without interfering with the tail pushrod ...
