whats a good starting nitro heli??

    hi guys

    i have a hk 450 with a dx7

but in another thew months i will be looking at getting a nitro heli

i have heard good comments on the vibe 50, raptor 50

i dont really want to be spending any more than $800

so if any one has these helis leave your comments on what you think of them

also if any one else knows of some good helis under $800 and there nitro it would help

    any replies would be great

    thanks
    jake

Is that $800 all up , or just for the heli kit ?

    You'd get a 2nd hand Raptor 50 for that , you have the DX7 already ..

The Aeolus 50 is a very nice machine, very well priced ; from http://helihoodsandgrafix.com.au/ind...parent=90&pg=1

I have one ; the parts quality , the build quality , and its flying are far better than Raptors and Align's ......and cheaper too !

Hobby City should have their Align 600 clone out soon , it'll be cheap , but quality is dubious....

Don't waste your money mate. Make do with elec helis until you can afford a decent nitro - if that is the path you want to go down.

From memory, the Raptor 50 titan kit is around $1400 with a (average) TT50 engine. No electrics included. With your own TX, you should get in the air for circa $2k.

Your best bet to get in the air more cheaply is to buy a second hand heli. There are other forum sites that are solely heli dedicated (archeli to name one) where you could find a bargain. Buying a new one will give you a piece of mind re: condition, but you pay for it.
