Well I am about to grab a ESC/55T motor combo for the impending AX10 purchase.

With the lockers being a known weakness and the drives potentially being a problem, I am thinking of getting a few upgrades along with the ESC/55T

First of all I am thinking so heavy duty lockers:

Or is it better to run some tight spools to rerduce slop:

Other option is to grab a centre drive-line

Personally I am thinking solid spool over a diff locker.

Is there something else I should be considering?

Cheers

I would go the full spool myself, only 1 part that can break and i doubt it ever would.
Make sure you get your capacitors with the engine, should be 3 of them.
Also put some good plugs on the batt and motor(ie Deans)

Yeah, that's all good, the deed is done!
Placed an order for:
Tekin FX-R ESC
Tekin 55T Motor
Tekin Hotwire Interface
Maximizer CrawlX Diff Lockers

Obviously as I bought lockers I will be heading down the ARTR route. Thinking next pay could be a nice little surprise :)

The AX-10 will be running:
Sanwa MX-3 FHSS 2.4ghz Tx/Rx
Hitec HS-645MG i have lying around
Either 7-cell 5000mah NiMH or 2s 5000mah Lipos
And the gear ordered above!

Was reading around, capacitors dont HAVE to be done on the 2.4ghz radios, though it comes bundled with 3, so I can't see a reason not to do it.
