    Smile choices traxxas stampede or hpi wheely king

    hi , i am new in RC trucks world, just wondering which one you guys think i should get for 1/10 scale electric trucks

    Traxxas Stampede XL-5 RTR

    OR

    HPI Wheely King RTR

    or you guys can recommend me a better choice
    my budget is around AUD$400

    so is the Traxxas Stampede XL-5 RTR a good truck?
    or somebody else can recommend something better around $400?

    Yea the pedes are definantly the best off road electrics to bash! They are super strong and very fast.

    Stampede or Rustler all the way, You can get a VXL version from the US for under $400.

    Just remember if you get the XL-5 version get RPM wheel carriers and upgrade to the larger 5x11 bearings the 8x3 bushes that come with the stock truck are useless.

    is hpi e-savage highly recommended?, its still under aud$400 without shipping from the US.
    is is really that good?

    DUDE THE ESAVAGE IS AWESOME. I guarentee it is the strongest electric truck you'll ever bash, and they're just as fast as the nitro Savages.

    but there is one problem, when i press reverse, the truck sometimes doesnt respond..
    is that normal?

    Leave it in neutral for a second or two before hitting reverse, there designed like that so you can't accidentally hit reverse while applying the brake.
    sorry guys, Helis are more fun than cars...

    That is so the brakes go on instead of reverse as you will put heaps of stress on the drive line.
