Anyone here play with R/C boats?
I have a vintage Kyosho Casablanca, a twin hull F1 style boat, with
twin outboads, they are kyosho jackson 380s, not really enough
grunt to get the thing to plane properly. We only had it out once and
it got water inside the radio compartment and killed the RX. This was
about late 1980s early 1990s, cant remember. Bought the boat in
Singapore, same time I bought my Avante.
It has a MSC, is it possible to run two batteries? It only has one
battery plug but I have seen one on the net with two batts in it and it
looked like the same speedy. I have to look for some replacement
540 sized outboards.
Here is a
link to one of these boats (has twin batteries and some pretty serious
looking motors) This is not my boat but it is the same.
Had a boat once - not quite as good as that one. Also had a hover craft that we were thinking of putting a .15 nitro on for propolsion but never did...
I think you should be able to run two batteries in parrellel. Better make sure that they are the same batt - like two 2900mha ect. but it should work -
Yes would be possible i just worry it may burn out the resistor or
something.... maybe i might need 2 mscs.
i cant see one battery lasting all that long driving two 540 size motors
in a boat...
Not myself personally, but heres a pic of my mates new boat..
She's a lil ripper with that Zenoah engine.. within a foot its up + planing across the water
His is the blue + red boat...
About the dual elecy' engine boat... what about a speed control from a Traxxas Emaxx... they have dual 540 engines + dual battery setups as standard ???
i dunno much about them, but if it works in a truck it would work with a boat..Edited by: Oblivion
if you get the one from a Traxxas Villain EX(EVX speed control) it is waterproofed and watercooled, for the twin motors it runs
