you will notice the first part is IMG surrounded in square brackets, then the address of the pic then /img in square brackets again.
of course there is square brackets [ ] missing from the example above so you can read the code. (if you replace left/right square bracket wording with the actual symbols [ ] it will become active code.)
replace the *'s below with a left or rightbracket and copy/paste it into your sig, you will see what i mean.
or you can create it in an editing program and and upload into a picture uploading site and copy and past the IMG text into the spacein the profile editing pagelikei did
Please note that we are about to have a clean up of the forum and part of our housekeeping will be to standardise the size of images that people have in their signature files.
A "common" acceptable size for most forums is 400 X 60 pixels and we would prefer that you not exceed that size.
As an 'absolute maximum' we will permit (in the short term) 500 X 100 pixels. Anything over this size will be removed.
Please help us out by checking the size of your sig file images (if you have one) and reduce them to the preferred size of 400 X 60 pixels. This notice will remain for a few weeks and then we'll start 'enforcing'.
BTW...........nice avatar. I can see the resemblance!!
Cheers,
Steve
