What have you guys found to be a durable tyre brand and compound without sacrificing too much grip?

My friend are only a few weeks into on-road racing, so need to put in a lot of practice miles.

We've been using Sweep and Muchmore 30, 32 and 36 compounds and found that each temperature range step up, to hotter, seem like it's an exponential increase in durability, ie. 36R tyres wear virtually twice as long as 32R tyres.

Is there a brand out there synonymous for lasting longer than others (given the same compound)?

Cheers

Andrew

PS: anyone in Brisbane wanting to get rid of their stockpile of old, un-raceworthy but ok to practice on, wheels/tyres please give me a holler :)
