: Blade mcpx

Hi guys!

Well I am back to consult with the gurus! Well I am starting to get a hang of the basics of flying my mcpx but I busted the tail boom today and I am a little confused on what I should buy. I can buy a standard tail boom, an extended tail boom, I can buy the boom in plastic, alloy, carbon fibre and steel tube, I can buy a carbon fibre tail boom support and probably more. Can someone please tell what is the best setup to buy. I was hoping to order in Aus so I can get back to practising so any recommendations would be appreciated. If I have to order from overseas I don't mind though, I just want the right stuff.

Thank you in advance,

Hey buddy, there is a mod you can do and install a blade 120 sr tail boom and motor ( I hope that is the one ) and it will give you better tail authority, but if you wanna stick with the tail motor you have, you can use a slightly longer carbon rod and that will help also.

I have a heap of mcpx stuff coming this week ( I hope ) and i'd be more than happy to forward you a new boom.

When I get these parts, I will have a double brushless mcpx, bring on the fun now.

Cheers Dave.

I hear alot of those little carbon fiber parts break as easily as plastic and not worth the $$

I just went with a aluminum swash, full metal head and extended tail all from microheli

Flys really well and its survived a few crashes now. The one thing I might buy thou is the carbon frame from microheli

I buy my parts from helipartsdirect (http://myworld.ebay.com.au/helipartsdirect/?_trksid=p4340.l2559). Its US based but dirt cheap and usually do free shipping

Ok thinking about this

It says the tail boom is 3mm which I assume is standard size?
