As to the car- Your car has to comply with AARCMCC specifications (You can find them on AARCMACC site or QORLS Forum)

You have to be a member of AARCMCC club. (We are offering weekend membership just for this event $20.00)

Realistically - as long as you have an engine that is 30.5 or less with silenced pipe and Pico like switch you will be fine.

Everyone is welcome!

Great design Callan, well done mate!!

Kris mate do you have a decibel limitation, I run a GBE Hornet. But it's not overly loud.
We don't have any limitations down here so I'm not sure what pipes are compliant and which ones are not.
Does the Qorls club have a list of acceptable pipe??

A quick question about what rules the above event will be regulated by...

I have had a couple of people ask me and until now just assumed it would be AARCMCC, but I keep hereing the EFRA(EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF RADIO OPERATED MODEL AUTOMOBILES) term being used.
I realize that one of the classes is the Euro class cars and wondered if people are getting confused by this or if there will be a specific class run under the EFRA banner.

BigKev aka The Frog
06-07-2012, 11:35 AM
The Baja and Losi classes will be under AARCMCC rules and there is a class for predominately euro vehicles which will run under the EFRA rules.
This is 2wd EFRA and 4wd or6 classes.

Something like that..

xr8ute
06-07-2012, 01:58 PM
The revised rules are coming, I have been asking a few questions relating to engines.
Updates will be posted soon, but there is Efra 2wd and 4wd, it's not called or6.

BeatsMe
08-07-2012, 11:59 AM
Has Outlaw 4wd been canned ???

xr8ute
08-07-2012, 12:16 PM
No not at all !!!

I was just referring to the Efra classes that's all, Efra now recognises the 4wd but they don't call it Or6

Blazin

Okay this is a general note for all those wanting to participate in this event who may be having issues registering with slyfox so you can then register inline for the event.
Please send an email to [email protected] outlining,
1 - Who you are
2 - Where your from
3 - What car your running
4 - What class you are nominating for
5 - Your transponder number

Brad will then register you for the event.

Thanks for your cooperation

I'm very keen to fly over and be a part of the championship, just had a few questions that someone may hopefully be able to answer.

After reading the Skyfox live site i see there are 2 days of qualifying and Sunday Racing. Just wondering if someone can confirm exactly what will be held on the Friday and Saturday? Don't know if i can have 3 days but should be able to do sat and sun. Will there be just a couple of the standard qualifying and heats for each class? Would love to know if the whole days are takin up or just a couple of hours and if i can get away with coming just Sat and Sun.

I've flown over for SALS a number of times and would love to be a part of this event.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi Kevin

Here is the events schedule. Brad Davis will be running the event so i would say he will run 4 to 6 heats on Friday. Saturday will be 2 to 4 heats plus on Saturday he will also run 1/4 finals. Sunday would be Semi finals & finals.

This would also change if high numbers have entered. The best thing with Brad running the event is that he will always try & get you more track time were time permits.

As for racing on Saturday & Sunday only you would have to check with the club organizers that are involved with the event. From previous events i have been involved in if your entered & payed up they you can race. but you must do at least one round of qualifying to be able to get your seeding to your chosen class.

Hope this helps.

Just one thing, do we have to cough up the rego money before the event or upon arrival in November ??

xr8ute
28-08-2012, 09:27 PM
The right thing to do would be before hand, that way the Qorls guys have some funds to assist with setup for the event.
I know if we where hosting we would appreciate the race fees before the event.
They will have plenty of expenses to cover with paying for AARCMCC officials being flown up and accommodated from NSW.

Hello all,

The rules have been updated and improved!
You will notice the EFRA 4wd class has been replaced with the AARCMCC 4wd Class, the only difference is we have upped the weight limit to 15kgs as opposed to 14kgs in the Efra rules.

Being that we are not in Europe or Germany we have sanctioned our own rules to suit the locals.

Please take special note of the safety sections and the roles and responsibilities at the end of the document, these will all need to be signed by everyone competing and marshaling.

Safety is of the Highest importance for all of us and you will be all expected to abide by the rules.

Gentlemen,

As a result of new information received regarding the latest batch of FG Leopard 4wd vehicles it seems the FG have made some changes to the rear of the vehicle and to the wheels and tires they supply with the car.
As a result the AARCMCC 4wd rules have been adjusted to suit, this was deemed to be the fairest solution due to the large expense the new owners would have to bear to reduce the rear end track width back to 480mm.
The change is that the maximum width was 480mm and now it has increased to 490mm.
AARCMCC thank you for your understanding and you will soon see revision 5.6 to the Off Road Large scale rules on the website and forums.

In regards to running a reedcase engine , can you run a factory Trevor Simpson reedcase engine with the stock Trevor Simpson top end ?

This is for the outlaw 4wd I'm referring to

Yes as long as there are no more than 4 transfer ports as per point 6 and 6a of the rules

Mr.Leopard

So where do I get a barrel that only has 4 ports ? All ts reedcase top ends have either 5 or 6 ports

Reedcase engines are not designed to run with the normal ports

And as far as I know there are a few bzm tts in the list of entry's and they run 6 ports aswell

Since this "national" event is only days away, could you please confirm what facilities are going to be available for visiting drivers..
i.e. will there be tents, tables and power..

Please let us know what has been done to accommodate interstate drivers so that we know what we have to bring at such short notice.

A full outline of the event would be appreciated..

From the QORLS Forum.

We have been working hard to make sure everyone at the Nationals is welcome and enjoys themselves.

QORLS NEED YOUR HELP!

We have some chairs Tables and shades.

QORLS has:
6 shades 3m x 6mm
25 chairs
30 tables

We will need more.
If you can lend some of these items to the club just for the Nationals – that would be great.

If you can help please contact - Kris 0411531323.

Thank you

No worries Seano.

I think raincoat will be on the list as the weather forecast is a bit crim. Wed-showers, Thur-showers, Fri-showers, sat-storms. Queensland raining one day..storms the next.

No worries Seano.

Would be nice if they updated the forums they are advertising the event on!!!
If you are going to advertise on the internet, you MUST keep ALL relevant threads updated..

Is turning into the last NON event that QLD had and NO ONE knew about..

Come on guys, pull ya bloody fingers out and fill us in on what is going on!!

ALL INFO ABOUT THE Nationals is up dated regularly – you do not have to sign up or be a member.

Kev - the last “non event” was advertised on this forum on front page twelve month before the event. And as you said it was a flop. We choose to update all info on a forum that has the most interest.

The statistics say that QORLS forum has the most hits out of all forums in the world today.

We do apologise for the inconvenience and we hope you understand.

Kev if you need extra assistance please feel free to contact myself (The secretary) any time you like 0411531323. Your assistance in spreading the news would be much appreciated (that is good news I mean)

If you want to use the internet as an advertising medium, YOU MUST update all relevant information.

This is how the world runs.

Drinks, food, toilets are in walking distance. We will be sellingdrinks and chocolates at the track.

We will have a compressor and water available for everyoneto use at the track.

There will be power available at the track. We will be usinga generator for power. I would like tosuggest charging you batteries at the hotel. We have limitations on powerpoints.

Most of us charge our batteries before we come racing. To clarify power will be available, but itmight get crowded as we do not have hard wired power points.

Lunch and dinner will be also available at the track.

Just bring everything you need to run your cars. We are friendly bunch and will be more than happy to assist everyone with everything possible.

Same here, never heard of QORLS forum.

That forum seems very small compared to other Australian forums.
It only has 251 users on the site.

How do you expect a person from SA/NSW to know about the QORLS forum site?

We have 4 double power points available at the Bulls eye caféand we will have an extra generator available as well.
We normally do notrequire power to race (only to run timing equipment).

We have hired three portable toilets as well. They will be scatteredaround the track. Normal toilets are only at 100m at Bulls eye cafe. Hopefully all guest drivers will be satisfied with the facilities.
See you soon!

there's too many largescale forums in aus, we need to for the sake of the largescale racing and bashing community combine them all into two super forums , that all can read and contribute...we don.t have enough largescale , racer;s and basher's to have a different forum in each state..that will kill all the info and be lost in 8 different club racing forum's. we need to combine all the clubs into a super forum to share info ideas, advertise events, and so on..

and no forum that has a interest to shops etc..it has to be neutral forum..

if ya care about largescale people in this country i reckon all clubs need to work on this...

my vote goes to "lsd" largescale down under for leargescale racer's and basher's.. and ausrc for everything else..
we should all work to get this happening sooner than later ready for next year's events..

cheers. and good to see you boys all enjoy the national's..

QORLS Forum is informative forum about racing events and resultsat QORLS. You will not find many discussions on it. The traffic we get is frompeople that are interested in our club only. You are all welcome. I know it is attachedto a shop but, no one is going to force you to buy.

I think people float between forums. When I talk to drivers they are all aware what is going on at other forums. We have a lot of members most do not want toget involved in slandering products or other clubs/member. Few forum members spoil the fun for most of us. Putting **** on each other is not QORLS “cup of tea”It seems like every time someone posts on this forum there are few “mindless vulture waiting for a feed”.

I am all for sharing club info , But how do we stop bullsh*t??

Haha interesting....like it or not there's gona be aasholes on every forum

Put up with it

And to be quite honest I have never ever ever been on the qorls forum....there used to be only 1 forum I visited years ago with my savage n that was rctech n had some 6000 posts on there and when I got into LS I came on here only due to coolamon being at rchobbies when I bought my Baja n told me bout Ausrc

And then there's the legendary lsd....so meh

Have all the hits you want n brag bout it all you want in the end a forum is a forum and people have a different cup of tea to one another

well that's the prob people can't just let things rest some go way and beyond to just slander or put crap on people...

been there many times..

that's why i personly think it won't happen having a super forum for all us racer's and basher's..

probably just a dream on my behalf , great dream and vision to get all clubs on the one super forum.. cause that would be great to share info track ideas , race setups, help each other out with events and fund raiser's etc..

but doubt it will happen tho..

i tried tho .. hope oneday some might see the light that it will benefit all clubs and memebers and basher's...and aussie shop's...

only way i see it is put in a moderator on the club section or stricked rules..

good on qorls for holding the first national event up there.. seem's all had a ball. and slyfox was outstanding, watching the lap by lap , race and postion's thruout the race series.
