Good luck to him.
An item is worth what someone is prepared to pay.
Personally, for a boat that size with a decent gas motor and good electrics, it probably isn't too unreasonable.
He probably has rudder setup that way for racing. I thought rudder angle was a variable that racers set to raise or lower the bow in a turn, in conjunction with adjustments they make to trim tabs and prop angle etc.
The fact that the rudder is so far back shows that the hull is a poor design.
Personally, I find it a really ugly boat. To each his own I guess! It's typical of RC users to think something they have is worth more than it really is. I could build a much better boat with all new parts cheaper than that.
It has a Futaba Attack stick radio, good quality electrics? I think not!
I hear you! I don't like car park driving either, I would rather be at a club meeting racing against other RC car enthusiasts.
Being the only one within 70km's with an RC anything makes it really hard to enjoy the hobby, but I do what I can with what is available.
I hope to promote RC in this town so I have someone to play with and maybe make enough cash to buy myself something nice to use.
I love RC boats but this one doesn't do it for me at all. Any Rc I have now is almost purely asthetic.
Thanks for your input!
BTW: It was said, tongue in cheek. Maybe I should have put a LOL at the end!
I'll give it to you wiz the hull isnt the prettiest thing i have ever seen, but i have seen (and built) worse and they worked like a charm, sometimes its not all about looks. By having the rudder on that angle it effectively increases the width of the blade, allowing it to produce more pressure to turn the boat at high speed. Having a 50cc and at 1.5m its not going to be a light boat, and possibly with the rudder closer to 90 degrees it wasnt turning the way the owner liked. Sure the Attack is an older radio and at the lower end of the scale but from my experiences of them they work fine with very few issues, but is cheap enough to upgrade if you want.
Even the fact that it is an aircooled engine not water cooled isnt really an issue for this design as the head is exposed to some airflow, i have used air cooled engines with a full cowl with some small ducts and it was warm but not hot.
Hey Brett, maybe you shouldn't express your opinion on other peoples items for sale? How do you know that this person selling this boat hasn't got a sick child and needs the money for medical bills? How do you know that they can't work due to an injury and they gotta sell their toys to survive? I been off work for the past month and my way of survival was to sell my beloved toys for dirt cheap so I can have a buck to survive, its not nice mate, stop doin it, if you don't have something nice to say about someone or something don't say anything at all, speak out loud to yourself instead of posting it on a forum, not everybody likes to listen to your shot

Ok, so now I do feel like a goose! I will keep my opinions to myself from now on. I hope I didn't stress anyone too much, if I did I appologise! Plaese stop calling me names RoBB, we all make mistakes.
Can the mods please remove this thread as it is rubbush and should never have happened. Sorry!
I had to sell my beloved T-Maxx to get a new fridge, so I know what it's like.
