The only problem now are the jet pumps themselves . The best ones are no longer available and the new pumps from hobby king seem to be the next best possibility but no one has got hold of one yet to try.
another pic - the underside
matt,
all the others are getting there -
mono - just about finished
Hydro- I need an engine and pipe so I can build the cover
I've just started a 47" cat and might go on with another 47" open mono. Once the cat is finished I'll paint them all and start making molds
I think it was graupner that made jet units. Have they stopped?
I know they had some suited for 26cc zenoahs all the way down to tiny jets for 100mm boats.
I wish I had the paitence and skill to do this. They look fantastic. I have really thought about making my own hull. Maybe one day when I get enough room in the shed hahaha.
the graupner jet drives are still available but they have no trim adjustment on the nozzle and their a glass in unit rather than a bolt in.
swashdrive are the ants pants but no longer in production - and they were made here in austraila.
The hobby king drives look the part but no one has managed to get their hands on one yet. It looks as though the HK jet drives are a knock off of the MHZ drives and from what I've read so far there seems to be a copyright issue between MHZ and Hobby King over these jet drives. They were listed on the HK website in September last year.
